This eclectic mix of cupcakes are for an 11 year old girl's birthday. Each delicious red velvet cuppie is topped with tangy cream cheese icing and a made-by-hand fondant representation of something she enjoys or likes. Besides the year she was born, her age, a Happy Birthday message, and her name, the other cupcakes are topped with an edible Phineas and Ferb, a can of hairspray and a blowdryer, nail polish, Fairly Odd Parents characters, school paraphernalia, her favorite colors (pink and puple), and an electric guitar. One can certainly learn a lot about a person by making them individualized cupcakes!

Red Velvet, if you please?
My Mom has been kindly encouraging, nudging, and outright asking me to bake Red Velvet cupcakes for several weeks. Making this cupcake has been on my "to do" list for quite a while. So, as a welcome home treat for my Mom (she just returned home from a trip to DC with my Dad), I finally baked Red Velvet cupcakes! These light on the chocolate and heavy on the RED cupcakes are sugary sweetness to perfection. Add a swirl of tangy cream cheese icing, and va-va-voom . . . velvet deliciousness!
