Jack Skellington Birthday

My husband's birthday is on the 21st of December.  Although his birthday is "Before Christmas" is most certainly is not a "Nightmare."  He is, however, a huge fan of Jack Skellington and Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas."  Thus, his Jack Skellington birthday paraphernalia!  The 3-D cake is a delicious and moist chocolate chunk iced with vanilla buttercream (and covered with Sweet T's made-from-scratch fondant).  What's this?  What's this?  There's birthday in the air!

Candy Cane Cupcakes

Cupcakes that actually taste like a candy cane?  Yep!  These tasty little Holiday treats do, in fact, taste like a curved stick of peppermint.  And not only the icing is rich with peppermint-y flavor . . . the cake itself is pure peppermint deliciousness too!  Crushed candy canes are mixed into the batter (and melt when baked).  Top each Candy Cane Cupcake with a few Christmas sprinkles and adorn with a miniature candy cane and these treats are all "dressed up" and ready for any gathering, get together, or party.

It's a Cupcake Christmas!

Those who really know me (and some who only know me a little) know that my absolute favorite color is pink.  I am an extreme fan of "pretty pink princess" anything.   When I saw this little pink Christmas tree, I knew it had to be mine.  Then, I found glittery cupcake ornaments and my happy worlds collided!  Thus, my miniature pretty pink princess cupcake tree!

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Deliciousness

These pumpkin chocolate chip cupcakes taste exactly like a moist, pumpkin chocolate chip cookie . . . only better (because it's a cupcake, of course!).  The perfectly spiced pumpkin cupcake is studded with mini chocolate chip morsels.  Then, the super moist cake is topped with a generous portion of caramel cream cheese icing.  That's right.  I said caramel cream cheese icing!  My made-from-scratch caramel is added to the icing recipe to create the perfect confection to adorn the top of each fall-time cupcake.  Happy Fall, ya'll!

Happy Wedding!

This tall, thin wedding cake is delicious, beautiful, AND beautifully delicious.  The bottom and top tiers are chocolate chunk cake with strawberry filling and icing.  The middle tier is vanilla cake, also with strawberry filling and icing.  So this truly is a Neapolitan cake!  Sweet T's made-from-scratch fondant covers each tier and is also used to create the black stem and leaf detailing.  Fresh REAL roses adorn the bottom and top of this fancy cake.

More Wedded Bliss

It was a pleasure to create these tasty treats for such a wonderful family's wedding event.  The bride is the sister of a young man I taught when he was a 5th grader.  Now he is a senior in high school, a basketball and football star at his school, and about twice my height (which is not difficult to do . . . being that I am only 5 feet short!).  Beautiful wedding desserts for a beautiful family!

Wedding Extraordinaire!

This 3-tier wedding cake has delicious secrets hiding beneath its white fondant covering!  The bottom layer is rich chocolate chunk cake.  The middle layer is moist carrot cake.  And the top layer is tasty vanilla cake.  Each of these three yummy layers is carefully disguised with a covering of Sweet T's made-from-scratch fondant as well as fresh flowers.  The delicate little fondant "buttons" and fancy fondant flounces create an elegantly delectable silhouette.
This cupcake tree was provided by the bride's family.  However . . . all the cupcakes were created by Sweet T's Bake Shop.  An irresistible assortment of cupcakes fill this towering tree: peanut butter cupcakes with chocolate swirl icing, red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing, strawberry cupcakes with strawberry lemon icing, toffee cupcakes with caramel cream icing, and mint chocolate chunk cupcakes with mint cream cheese icing.  Decisions, decisions!  When one is unable to choose  . . . make sure to sample one of each!

Absolutely Awesome Almond Cupcakes

For almond lovers, this cupcake is pure delight!  The super-moist cake is made with freshly made almond meal.  The meal is fine, but not too fine.  With each almondy bite, the little bits of meal make for a nice, slightly textured bite. Smooth almond buttercream icing swirls the crown of each almond cupcake.  To finish, a sprinkling of almond meal.  Almond has never been so absolutely awesome!

"The best cake I have ever eaten in my entire life!"

This little 6 inch round birthday cake was made for a principal of a local elementary school.  The cake is tasty and delectable from the inside out.  The moist, rich, chocolate chunk cake is studded with semi-sweet morsels.  Then, the decadent cake is covered with Sweet T's signature chocolate icing.  The deliciousness does not stop there, however.  The outside edge of the cake is then covered with a thick layer of heavenly Butterfinger buttercream icing, then dusted with  more pieces of crushed Butterfinger.  When Sweet T received a "Thank You" note from this principal, the card said, "That was the best cake I have ever eaten in my entire life!"

Butterfinger Cupcakes

This little cake o' deliciousness is packed with plenty of Butterfinger-y goodness!  The moist vanilla cupcake is packed with chunks of crushed up Butterfinger candy.  The Butterfinger buttercream icing is thick, rich, and oh so tasty.  To finish this decadent treat, a hearty helping of more crushed Butterfinger dusting the mountain of icing.  A glass of milk is certainly needed after finishing one of these Butterfinger cupcakes!

Simply Strawberry

These Simply Strawberry cupcakes are tasty and refreshing!  The moist, pink cake is sweet and filled with scrumptious strawberry puree.  Each little cake is topped with a swirl of  "to die for" strawberry icing.  It is made with a hint of cream cheese, fresh strawberry puree, and a sprinkle of lemon zest.  Each cupcake is also dusted with a few large sugar crystal sprinkles to add a little "sparkle."

Madeleine Cupcakes

Never heard of Madeleines?  In my search for new and interesting desserts, I found a recipe for Madeleine cookies.  Madeleines are traditionally a French cookie (that are deliciously soft and cake-like), and are baked in pans similar to cupcake pans.  Only instead of a pan of cups, the cookies are baked in pans covered with little shell shapes.  These yummy cookies lend themselves perfectly to a cupcake transition!  My Madeleine cupcakes are made with powdered sugar IN THE BATTER  (and only a little flour)!  This creates a very light, fluffy cupcake.  Also included is fresh orange zest and a hint of almond.   Each cupcake is swirled with lightly orange cream cheese icing and sprinkles.  Delicious and refreshing!
